Police in the south of the Island say they've spoken to the owner of a vehicle they requested information about yesterday, and have ruled them out of their investigation into damage caused to around 70 vehicles on Sunday evening.
Inspector Mark Newey of the Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team says enquiries are continuing to identify those responsible for the vandalism, which saw some kind of solvent sprayed on the vehicles.
Officers are now looking for a light coloured hatchback which travelled along either the Ballachurry Road or Ballafesson Road towards the Honna Road on Sunday evening at approximately 10pm.
The car approached the Surby junction on its right hand side, then turned around in the junction and doubled back on itself.
