CM aims to prove IOM 'good member of global community'

Two MPs who have called for the Isle of Man to change its financial regulations are visiting here today.

They've been invited over by the chief minister, Howard Quayle.

Dame Margaret Hodge and Andrew Mitchell last month tried unsuccessfully to introduce legislation which would have forced the Crown Dependencies to make their beneficial ownership registers public.

Mr Quayle wants to show the pair, 'how the Isle of Man serves as a responsible member of the global community' when it comes to tax evasion, money laundering and corruption.'
