Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly admits losing out to Stockton to host the British Cycling National Road Championships next year is a blow.
This morning, organisers announced the Manx bid had been unsuccessful – although so far there’s been no reason given why the Isle of Man lost out.
Mr Skelly praised the Island’s bid, and says losing the expected influx of competitors, officials and visitors is disappointing.
