Route now due to be shut until end of April
A road closure in the west of the Island has been further extended - by two months.
Curragh Road in St John's is now due to be shut until 30 April.
It had been scheduled to reopen mid-January, but that was pushed back until the end of February.
Ground conditions in parts of the site have been found to be far worse than anticipated, and there's been additional, unexpected work to do.
A large culvert which was found to have collapsed had to be demolished and piped into the new drainage system and a water main was found to clash with the new outfall for the drainage system and had to be diverted.
