Lawrie Hooper offers reassurance to residents and staff
The Health Minister insists plans to replace Cummal Mooar in Ramsey have not been shelved, they will just be different.
It follows an announcement from Manx Care this week that the residential home would close in the next two years with its replacement not going ahead.
But Lawrie Hooper says his department's position is it should stay open until a new facility is built.
He says the delay is largely down to escalating costs:
