Island residents spend £110 a year on events
Culture and the arts could be generating six and a half million pounds a year for the Manx economy.
That's according to a new report by the Isle of Man Arts Council.
The investigation comes in the wake of the 2014 Island of Culture celebrations, which saw a variety of arts events and performances take place across the calendar year.
It's estimated that in addition to ticket charges, the average person spends 110 pounds per year on attending cultural events.
Geoff Corkish is Chairman of the Arts Council.
Speaking to Manx Radio, he explained what conclusions could be drawn from the new research:
