Local musicians increase fundraising efforts
Local musicians have started a crowd funding project to build a new arts facility on the Island.
Mannin music, a collaboration of private music teachers, is hoping to raise half a million pounds for a multi-use, rehearsal complex to benefit all arts on the Island.
As part of the fund-raising efforts, teachers and pupil's parents are learning a new instrument from scratch to pass a grade 1 exam in under a month, with a final concert to follow.
Co-owner of Mannin Music Laura Rowles says a dedicated space for the arts is much needed.
