MHK believes carrying out extraction would be harmful to Island's investment prospects
MHK Daphne Caine says gas and oil extraction could be detrimental to the Islands business prospects.
Speaking on Agenda with Phil Gawne, the Garff MHK insisted the decision to extend Crogga's licence to search Manx waters for fossil fuels was an 'unwanted distraction'.
However, Ms Caine - who also chairs the Climate Transformation Board - has attributed world events and the energy crisis as reasons why it may be an attractive opportunity.
