MLC defends members saying they wear 'various hats'

Recent criticism regarding the length of Legislative Council sittings boils down to a misunderstanding about the amount of work done behind the scenes.

That's according to one MLC who says members wear 'various hats' and do a lot of unseen preparation prior to sittings.

LegCo sits 21 times each year, outside of Tynwald, and has been critiqued as having a relatively passive public face.
