Officers warn people to be vigilant
Police are warning people to check their emails carefully before responding.
It comes after the force received reports of criminals using fake but very similar emails to target people and companies into handing over money.
Gmail and Monza bank are just some businesses that have been used in the scams - featuring in two reported incidents last week.
The constabulary believes scammers are finding out personal information about you or your business from your websites.
