Chief constable cautious following annual report
The police's success shouldn't be based solely on the number of crimes reported to them.
The view of Chief Constable Gary Roberts, who's been speaking following the release of his latest annual report.
Almost 2,200 crimes were recorded between 1 April 2016 and 31 March 2017, the period the report covers.
That's an 11 per cent increase on the previous year.
The chief constable says the stats really don't tell the whole story:
Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
Fundraiser to keep St John Ambulance emergency fleet on the road
Ayre and Michael MHKs request meeting with commissioners over rates
