Police identify and 'deal with' culprits
Police say the culprits behind multiple recent fires in Onchan have been 'identified' and 'dealt with'.
Fire crews have attended four incidents in the area in the past week - all are said to be deliberate.
Dashcam footage, shared with Manx Radio earlier this week, showed a large gorse fire by Bedstead Corner on Monday night.
The fire and rescue service says any deliberate fire is dangerous and poses a serious risk to the public and property and has a significant impact on our local community.
It adds: 'Dealing with these fires draws our fundamental and valuable resources away from our community which ultimately places unnecessary risk to life.
'The [Service] will be working alongside our colleagues at the Isle of Man Constabulary and would like to jointly appeal to the public to help us in preventing these incidents from occurring.'
