Findlay Macleod stepping down after 26 years

The head of Isle of Man Creamery is leaving his post.

Findlay Macleod, who has been managing director at the plant for 26 years, says he's leaving with a strong sense of pride in what's been achieved during his time in charge.

Under his stewardship the Creamery has developed export markets with Manx cheese reaching customers across the US and Canada, Australia, Europe and beyond.

In a statement Mr Macleod says it's been a privilege to work with and on behalf of the Island's dairy farming community.

He also pays tribute to the highly capable team at the Creamery whose hard work and expertise underpins its success.

He says he's looking forward to spending time with his family and considering his next challenge.

The statement from the Creamery gives no timeline for Mr Macleod's departure.

A request from Manx Radio for an interview was declined on behalf of both Mr Macleod and the Creamery.
