Annual ceremony takes place at Hango Hill
There's an environmental theme to this year's Illiam Dhone ceremony.
The speakers are author of the Isle of Man Population Atlas Paul Craine and Devon Watson from the Climate Change Coalition.
The gathering at Hango Hill in Castletown was instigated by Manx nationalist party Mec Vannin in 1963 and has been held every year since 1979.
On the same day in 1663, Illiam Dhone was executed by a firing squad for his part in handing the Island over to parliamentary forces during the English Civil War.
The ceremony starts at 2pm and is followed by a service at Malew Church and a social at Compton Vaults.
