DED actions 'over the top' claim
The owner of an Island gift shop says Economic Development's TT trademark enforcers have gone too far.
A department official turned up on site after it was reported a number of handmade products breached the event logo and used the TT initials.
The RNLI recently had to pay £250 for a licence for using the official logo on its pin badges.
A row also erupted earlier this year when brewery Bushy’s was warned not to use the TT initials on its promotional materials before an agreement was reached.
Christine Howson says the department’s actions seem over the top.
