Loganair flight makes return to Island
An aeroplane travelling to the UK was forced to make an emergency return to the Island this afternoon - due to a cracked windscreen.
Loganair's BA Cityflyer flight took off at 1.27pm, en route to London City, but landed back on the Island again 30 minutes later at 1.57pm.
The flight had to be aborted - the cause of the cracked windscreen is not yet known.
The airline says none of the 25 people on board - 22 passengers and three members of staff - were injured.
It's thought all passengers disembarked safely from the Saab 2000 plane, and arrangements are being made about onward travel.
