More talks tabled for week ahead
The chairman of Ramsey Commissioners says the board will meet again next week to discuss its offer to buy the town’s iconic courthouse.
Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey yesterday met some members of the board and local authority officials.
The department has put the site up for sale and received an estate agent valuation of £475,000.
Ramsey Commissioners’ bid is believed to be nearer the £400,000 set by government valuers last year.
Andy Cowie is hopeful a compromise can be reached.
