Commissioners chair seeks to calm debate
The chairman of Ramsey Commissioners maintains a deal has yet to be finalised over the town's courthouse.
Andy Cowie was responding to comments made by his local authority colleague Eric Corkish, who suggested last week that government had already agreed to sell the building to a third party.
Speaking to MTTV, Mr Corkish claimed that Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey was 'trying to fool' the board, accusing him of running a 'tainted' operation.
Mr Malarkey told the House of Keys last week he had 'no further comment' to offer until a decision was made.
But Mr Cowie says Mr Corkish's remarks went beyond what was needed:
