John and Marion Payne presented with medals
A local couple have been presented with special service medals from the RNLI to recognise 30 years of time and dedication to Port St Mary Lifeboat.
John and Marion Payne have held a love of all things maritime for longer than that.
They donated £1,000 towards equipment for the Port St Mary boat in 1981, before becoming regular volunteer supporters of the branch.
John was Membership Secretary before becoming Branch Treasurer in 1988, a position which he held for 18 years.
Marion's input has largely come through fundraising and event organising, including at the annual Lifeboat Day.
The husband and wife are also behind the Murder Mystery suppers - an annual fundraising event which has raised thousands of pounds for the RNLI.
