Falsely obtained benefits
A husband and wife from Peel have admitted cheating the benefit system.
Stephen Tate, who is 55, and 46 year-old Lorraine Tate, of Ballaquane Road, appeared at Douglas Courthouse today (Thursday).
Mr Tate pleaded guilty to nine counts of making false representations to obtain benefits - his wife admitted six counts of the same charge.
The offences were allegedly carried out between June 2015 and May last year.
The case has been adjourned until October 12 while social enquiry reports are prepared.
