Marine Engineer under command of coxswain Edd Christian
A couple aboard a sailing yacht at Langness this morning (9 September) have been rescued by Douglas lifeboat teams.
The RNLI was called out just after 6am to the seven-metre boat, which had found it difficult to make its way around the peninsular.
A distress call to the coastguard for assistance shortly came in.
The all-weather Marine Engineer rescuer was able to tow the vessel, and the couple, back to Douglas safely.
