Christian calls for better policing of social media
The Leader of Douglas Council has spoken out about the damage caused by the spread of fake news on social media.
David Christian claims untruths are putting people off politics and that personal abuse takes its toll on the families of those targeted.
He wants to see sites such as Facebook better policed to stamp out misinformation.
Mr Christian says people should consider the impact of their actions:
Warning over flare disposal after amenity site fire
Suspended sentence for 56-year-old in cannabis supply case
Owner of a block of flats fined for failing to meet fire safety regulations
