UK proposals include 'terminally ill' in the title
An MLC believes changing the name of the assisted dying bill could alleviate the fears some individuals have about the proposals.
Campaign groups have voiced concerns that the criteria for an assisted death could be expanded if the legislation is brought in.
A number of alternative names for the bill were considered when it was debated in the House of Keys earlier this year, while similar proposals in the UK include 'terminally ill' in the title.
With the bill now with the Legislative Council, Diane Kelsey says it's something members could consider:
