Three Manx buildings deemed historically important
Three Manx buildings have been classed as sites of significant historical interest.
The Cosy Nook in Port Erin, Trafalgar House in Douglas, and the Mitre in Kirk Michael have been added to the Protected Buildings Register.
It means they will now be protected against demolition, or any alteration or extension that affects their character, unless agreed to beforehand.
Government has previously been criticised for falling behind when it came to protecting buildings of interest.
The move follows an investigation into the historical importance of the sites, as well as a public consultation on their future.
