Inquest hears sidecar team died from multiple injuries
A father and son who were killed during a sidecar race at this year's TT died from multiple injuries.
An inquest into the deaths of Roger and Bradley Stockton was opened and adjourned at Douglas Courthouse this morning.
Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes told the court there were difficulties with identification following the incident in the second sidecar race on 10 June.
An examination at the scene found both competitors were wearing identification tags, but in both cases the tag had become detached from the chain.
Post mortems revealed the 56-year-old sidecar driver and his 21-year-old son, who was his passenger, died from multiple injuries.
Mrs Hughes adjourned proceedings while investigations continue, and released their bodies to their family.
