Industry season now well underway
With tourists on two wheels flocking to the Island this week - visitors of another kind are also increasingly choosing Manx shores as their destination of choice.
The Manx cruise tourism industry has received a lot of praise in the recent past, and it's thought it will benefit from developments in other major ports nearby.
Steps have also been taken to more accurately measure the economic impact of the visits of cruise ships to the Island.

Corinthian is the latest cruise ship to dock in Douglas, which could be seen moored in the harbour all day today.

This morning, member of the Department for Enterprise with responsibility for tourism Rob Callister joined the Cruise Isle of Man team on board the ship, for a tour, and to meet the captain.
Manx Radio's Dollin Mercer also went along and spoke to the man at the helm, Tino, from Croatia:
Police dealing with 'serious incident' in Ramsey
Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
Fundraiser to keep St John Ambulance emergency fleet on the road
