Four out of top five disqualified for technical infringements
The Superbike Classic TT Race has been marred in controversy following a major revision of the results - hours after they had officially been declared.
The results were changed around 9pm last night.
The four-lap race was won by Michael Dunlop - with Dean Harrison and James Hillier in third.
However, a statement from race organisers shocked the paddock and fans with four of the top five racers disqualified due to what was described as 'technical infringements'.
It means Michael Rutter - who finished fourth - was promoted to second place, with William Dunlop in third.
Sports Editor Tim Glover says he's never experienced anything like it before.
Revised results can be found online at iomtt.com.
