Charge would mean housing developments include social benefits
Plans to introduce a charge on housing developers to ensure new builds benefit the economy and the environment will progress in the spring.
Chief Minister Howard Quayle says a public consultation on the introduction of the Community Infrastructure Levy will take place in March next year.
He was asked for an update after Tynwald committed to introducing the payment by April 2021 as part of the Area Plan for the East.
Engagement with those involved in the construction industry will take place in the New Year, before feedback is sought from the wider public in the spring.
