Chief Minister responds to House of Keys question
There's been a 15% increase in jobs in the Manx construction sector since 2014.
That's according to the Chief Minister, responding to a written question from Julie Edge in the House of Keys this week.
5% of the Manx work force is now employed in construction.
The cabinet office's latest business confidence survey, showed that the sector had the highest confidence currently and looking forward.
At UCM, there's been an increase of 24% on last year in students and apprentices on the construction programme.
The sector now makes the 7th largest contribution to the Manx economic activity.
