Government capital spending for the coming year will be £97 million, which includes £44 million for building schemes.
Representing the Isle of Man's construction industry on the Manx Radio budget programme this lunchtime was Tony Wood of Auldyn Construction.
He said the prospects for the sector remain pretty grim:
