Iconic hotel secured by unknown buyer
Auctioneers behind an agreement to sell the Castle Mona are confident its future owners will put the site to good use.
The historic 98-bedroom hotel and adjoining leisure facilities were secured by an unknown buyer, understood to be a local developer, yesterday.
It ends more than a decade of uncertainty over the Castle Mona's future, after its sudden closure in 2006.
Current owner the Sefton Group says it won't comment until the deal has been completed.
