MHK has Tynwald question about Dependability Ltd
South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft says she’s worried an organisation carrying out assessments on sick people is forcing them back to work while they’re in no condition to return to the workplace.
On Tuesday, she’ll quiz Treasury Minister Eddie Teare about Dependability Limited, who took over the controversial assessments from ATOS.
Mrs Beecroft says she’s hearing more reports from ill people who say they’ve been found fit for work, and face losing their benefits if they refuse to find a job.
She says her question will ask Mr Teare for a statement about the company:
