Overspend on £38 million budget likely
Work on the new Isle of Man ferry terminal at Liverpool won't be completed until 2022.
Infrastructure Minister Tim Baker announced the further delay in Tynwald today (17 Nov), and said an overspend on the £38 million project was likely.
It's been caused by the global impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the UK construction industry.
As a result, the Isle of Man Steam Packet is set to hold talks with the Peel Group about continued use of the current Liverpool landing stage.
