Legislative Council to consider proposals after Keys supported bill this morning
Completing all stages of a bill designed to stop vulnerable customers having their gas supply cut off in one day 'signifies the urgency of the situation', according to the longest serving member of Tynwald.
Bill Henderson MLC will move the Gas Regulation (Amendment) Bill in the Legislative Council this afternoon, after it received support in the House of Keys this morning.
It comes after Isle of Man Energy recently issued disconnection notices to around 90 customers before agreeing to a pause with the Office of Fair Trading.
