Island said to be 'ideal setting'
A Jamaican company wants a licence to carry out research into medicinal cannabis on the Isle of Man.
Cannabis consultant Jeff Ditchfield has contacted the Department of Health and Social Care on behalf of one of his clients to determine whether such research would be possible on the Island.
The firm already has a licence to operate in Jamaica, but is keen to expand to other parts of the world, and has identified the Isle of Man as a potential location.
Mr Ditchfield explains why the Island would be the ideal setting.
