Service made possible by change in Manx legislation
Those wanting to obtain a prescription for medicinal cannabis on the Island are in luck.
It's courtesy of a new service launched by Manx company Medicann which operates in all the Crown Dependencies and hires local doctors to provide the prescriptions.
The new service has been made possible due to a change in Manx legislation.
However, it will operate under a strictly defined criteria.
The chief executive of Medicann, Gary Whipp, spoke to Manx Radio's Simon Richardson:
Meanwhile, Karsons - the pharmacy that's been granted a licence to dispense medicinal cannabis on a year-long trial will work alongside the Sapphire Medical Health Clinic.
Sapphire already have 6,000 patients across their operations in the UK for chronic pain, anxiety and insomnia.
