Move will help to ensure businesses can be compensated
A Tynwald committee has welcomed the call for a 'central projects unit' to look into works on Douglas promenade.
Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan recently told Manx Radio he'd like the creation of such a body to put more 'rigour' into the refurbishment scheme.
The Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee says it looks forward to further proposals for the unit.
Committee chair Clare Bettison MHK says it will help efforts to compensate businesses affected by the works:
