Residents underwhelmed by Peel tree
As the build up to the festive season continues, one Christmas tree in particular has caused something of a public stir.
It's thought complaints have been received by Peel Town Commissioners, after residents were underwhelmed with the tree erected on Michael Street.
The Town Clerk replied: "the Commissioners have already sent one tree back to the Forestry because of its poor condition.
"I am unsure why the trees the Commissioners have received this year are not as full and exhibit stunted growth.
"This may in part be attributed to the exceptionally hot weather conditions experienced earlier this year when these trees were growing.
"Please note the Commissioners have not paid for these trees yet and the condition will be taken into consideration when we receive an invoice for these trees from the supplier."
