Nominations in Peel close on 4 November

The vice-chair of Peel Commissioners says a contested election for the board's vacant seat means residents can have a 'choice' over who represents them.

The local authority has one empty place available after Katryna Baptist was voted into the House of Keys in September.

Residents wanting to stand for Peel Commissioners must have their papers submitted by 1pm tomorrow (4 November).

If more than one person steps forward then polling will take place on 3 December.

Vice-Chair Sharon Lambert hopes that potential candidates understand the time commitments involved in the role.
