Manx Care says the move is because more care is being delivered in the community
A Ramsey commissioner says he's 'disappointed' by Manx Care's decision to reduce the number of beds available at Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital.
The healthcare provider says it's moving more of its inpatient rehabilitation into the community has resulted in a reduced occupancy and therefore a reconfiguration of the Martin Ward.
That's led to the number of beds being reduced by 30 percent - from 31 to 20.
But Juan McGuinness says he has concerns about the long-term implications of the move:
