MHKs alliance asking ministers to hand over documents this month
The Council of Ministers is being called upon by a newly-formed political alliance to release three reports 'immediately'.
Former ministers Chris Thomas and Julie Edge, alongside Douglas South MHK Claire Christian, want the Development Viability Study, the Objective Assessment of Housing Need (OAHN), and the Independent Review of Funding for Schools made public.
Typically, CoMin takes time to consider the recommendations of a report before publishing it, allowing them to draw up new policies in response.
However, Ms Edge believes it is unnecessary to withhold the reports until that process is complete:
The backbench MHKs are expected to ask ministers to hand over the documents in May's sitting of Tynwald.
