Chief minister says a debate will be needed
The Council of Ministers is to discuss the present 40mph all-Island speed limit later this week.
But Chief Minister Howard Quayle has told Tynwald, whatever they come up with, members will have a debate.
It was introduced as a way of easing pressure on the emergency services during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mr Quayle says there has been a substantial amount of support for the speed restriction, which has been credited with cutting the number of road accidents by 80 per cent:
