Islanders are being urged to support a long established tradition later today (Thursday).
Laa Columb Killey takes place in Arbory in the field opposite the primary school in Ballabeg.
The procession from the Parish Hall to the field starts at 2.30pm before Hampton Oates officially opens proceedings and crowns the festival princess.
But that’s only the start, as event president Noel Cringle explained:
Manxman won't return to service until end of September
Onchan Commissioners won't be commenting on assault allegations
Steam Packet urged to be more 'transparent' over Manxman issues
Government needs to 'break the cycle' of child poverty on Island
