The article entitled "How the Isle of Man can save the Tory party" describes the Island as a place where postmen just open your door and leave parcels in the hallway.

Ashworth-Hayes describes the Isle of Man as small and wealthy.

He compares the Island's police force to UK counterparts, describing how Manx officers know their areas well, understand the population and are visible on the beat.

The piece also comments on licensing laws, Manx views on immigration and work permit restrictions.

Ashworth-Hayes concludes that this all contributes to the success of the Manx economy.

He says the UK should learn from its closest neighbours before looking further afield.
