September session at Northern Laa Meanagh to connect carers and service users with local support services over coffee

Manx Care will hold its fifth Coffee for Carers event next month, bringing the initiative to the north of the Island.

The session will take place on 15 September from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the Northern Laa Meanagh centre in Reayrt Skyal.

It aims to give carers and their loved ones the chance to meet staff, connect with other service users, and access information from a range of local organisations over coffee.

Representatives from the Northern Wellbeing Partnership, Crossroads for Carers, Sight Matters, Citizens Advice, the Home Energy Scheme, the Community Fire Safety Team, and Manx Care’s Advice and Liaison Service will be present.

Refreshments will be provided, but those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP to NorthernLaaMeanagh.ManxCare@gov.im by 11 September to ensure adequate catering.

Day Centres for Older People offer respite for carers by providing a safe, stimulating environment for those they support, helping individuals remain in their own homes for longer while linking them to other useful services.
