MHK wants more public input earlier on
There was disagreement in the House of Keys over when the Manx public should be consulted over the development of a strategy to protect the Island's coastline.
Michael MHK Alf Cannan said it was a case of government telling people, 'here's the solution, what do you think?'
He was referring to Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Richard Ronan's announcement a plan would be worked out, then put out to consultation.
Mr Cannan wants people to be involved more in the process, something which Mr Ronan said he would consider:
