Cliff technician winched down to collect him from Laxey cliffside

The Isle of Man Coastguard was called out to Laxey yesterday after a two-year-old Jack Russell fell down a cliff along the coastal path.

A crew made up of personnel from Ramsey and Douglas attended the scene, with Cliff Technician Ben Cunningham (Manx Radio) deployed to collect "Teddy" from where he'd fallen; around 20 metres down.

The Coastguard says Teddy came out unscathed and was delighted to be reunited with his owners.

Dog owners are being reminded to keep their pets on a lead whenever walking along the Island's steep coastline.
