Rescue efforts took five and a half hours
Douglas Coastguard and Ramsey Lifeboat pulled off a dramatic rescue yesterday in heavy rain and worsening conditions.
After five-and-a-half-hours, the crews managed to safely recover a Bullmastiff dog that had fallen over the cliff just north of Laxey Bay.
The teams have thanked their Marine Opps Centre for co-ordinating the rescue and a local farmer who helped them to recover their rescue vehicle from the field above the incident.
