Numerous emergency services were spotted at the scene
A helicopter was mobilised to carry out a patient transfer in the area of Douglas Beach during the early hours of this morning (30 April).
Footage captured by residents appeared to show the helicopter searching the area before landing on the shoreline.
Manx Radio has been told the helicopter was unable to land in its usual location for the patient transfer due to the weather conditions and the decision was taken by the pilot to land in the vicinity of Douglas Beach instead.
The callout was not due to a specific incident in the area.
Police closed a section of Douglas Promenade around the area of Summer Hill for a time whilst the transfer took place.
