Rescue teams called out after in Laxey Bay

The coastguard and Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service were called out to assist a boy stuck on a cliff on the coast of Laxey Bay yesterday.
A member of the fire crew then ascended and accompanied the boy back down to safety.

In a post on Facebook, the coastguard duty officer says the boy was in danger of falling but managed to hold onto a gorse bush above the 12-metre drop.

Upon arrival, and seeing there was a lack of immediate access from above, fire officers made use of their ladder which was the quickest and safest option.
